Discover a craft at the Moulin de la Fleuristerie

Take a step back in time at Moulin de la Fleuriste, an estate located in the small village of Orges in the Haute-Marne region of France. The owner offers you a guided tour of this center, which is now the only one in France to produce floral creations for Haute Couture and decoration.

The exploration begins in the former coal shed, now used as a reception hall. While your guide tells you about the history of the mill, take time to contemplate this pretty building with its stone walls and large beams. You'll still be able to see a few black spots that bear witness to the mill's former activity. On your way out, take a look at the huge paddlewheel that has been turning for a hundred years and continues to generate electricity.

Your host then introduces you to this art of craftsmanship by taking you through the mill's various workshops. As you make your way through the 19th-century machinery, he passionately explains how to make petals and leaves from a cookie cutter. It's a unique opportunity to discover what a guiper and a cutting table are all about.
To round off the visit in style, the owner takes you into the store, where you can buy small souvenirs.
